After long and careful consideration I have made the decision to close Coverack Ju-Jitsu Club as from now and we will not be re-opening in the new term in September. Due to a recent employment promotion, I am no longer able to commit to running the club and therefore feel that I have no other choice than to close. I have been very fortunate over the last two years that Terry Stidworthy was able to step up to Lead Instructor and help run the club as my work commitments began to increase. I am now delighted to announce that he, along with Richard Sharpe, have made the decision to open a new Ju-Jitsu club in St Keverne. Please find their welcome letter and joining instructions attached, for your perusal.
I have absolute faith in their partnership and believe that St Keverne Ju-Jitsu Club will grow and thrive as a club and continue to offer the same high standards of training that Coverack Ju-Jitsu Club have provided the local community with, over the last 40 years. I will whole-heartedly support the new club by attending training as a visiting instructor when work allows, and I will also have the privilege of carrying out all their gradings as and when required.
I want to re-iterate that I have not made the decision lightly, but feel that in the best interest of all the members, this is the right decision for the club and for me personally.
I wish St Keverne Ju-Jitsu Club every success and look forward to seeing you all at some point in the Autumn term at the new club.
